Situation
Centrepoint needed a centralised, easily accessible integrated platform where they could publish news and share knowledge throughout the company. Centrepoint, currently amid a massive technological transformation, approached Business Cloud Integration to consult and develop a robust and dynamic Intranet in their already existing SharePoint Online tenant, and to start them on their transformation to a digital workspace.
Solution
Challenge
Centrepoint is a huge organisation, covering multiples sites across the United Kingdom, so it was extremely important that entry to this new, integrated location must be easy and secure, available to all in the company, no matter their location.
Other challenges included onboarding users as quickly and easily as possible to the new platform. We wanted to help the organisation to help themselves by identifying key stakeholders and champions to engage with in workshops, so their requirements would be baked right into the design.
Growth is a key challenge with organisations across multiple sites, we needed to find a useful and scalable design that would grow as the teams grow.
Strategy
The strategy for this project was following our proven knowledge management methodology;
- Understand the requirement from key stakeholders
- Run workshops with all directorates from the organisation
- Prioritise requirements in order of business value
- Develop a dynamic information architecture
- Present findings and Information Architecture, the layout of the intranet including all ‘must haves’ and solutions, to stakeholders with signoff
- Deploy final solution and empower champions
By actioning the high business value requirements, a reusable single SharePoint intranet template was developed and deployed through our provisioning tool, Casper365.
Result
The result? A long-standing centralised location, easily accessed by everyone in the company and partly designed by Centrepoint themselves.
Centrepoint have now achieved a key milestone in their digital transformation and will be able to support the growth of their digital workspace for years to come.

Casper365, our Office 365 companion tool, was used as part of this project to deploy the Intranet sites fast and effectively. Each type of site was created as a template and redeployed for each Site Collection as part of the information architecture for this project.
