Situation

Norwich BID approached Business Cloud Integration to help them with the build of a strong, unified, and collaborative platform in their already existing SharePoint Online tenant, where they could control, share, and distribute documentation.

Challenge

Norwich BID needed to onboard users to the new platform, whilst creating a space dynamic enough that it would require little maintenance but that also provided easy access to centralised content. They also needed a space for external parties to access the data they require but with Norwich BID’s set permissions and governance in place.

That’s why they reached out to Business Cloud Integration. Our goal was to help Norwich BID adopt a new dynamic Document Management solution with the added benefit of SharePoint Online.

Strategy

We started by first understanding the conditions and prerequisites for the platform from the Heads of the Business themselves, followed by the departments, achieved by conducting thorough and detailed workshops.

Then we made sure that each prerequisite was prioritised in order of their business value and then an information architecture was developed.

We worked with the key stakeholders to build and deploy the solution as well as helping to encourage and support the company’s champions.

Through this process, our own provisioning tool Casper365 was deployed to develop a reusable SharePoint intranet template.

Result

With Business Cloud Integrations help, Norwich BID now have a secure, central location in the cloud where they can store and control their content safely, whilst also communicating knowledge to the entire organisation. This means they can allow all employees to contribute and therefore assist and benefit in the company’s growth.

Additionally, there is now a safe place where external parties can access the data they need but only with Norwich BID’s set permissions and governance in place.
